Dumbeta Ward is located in the Hanang District of Manyara Region in northern Tanzania. Approximately ten thousand people call Dumbeta Ward home. They live in ten separate villages. The area encompasses approximately twenty-five square miles. The area is semi-arid high desert with an elevation of about 6000’ above sea level. The nearby town of Katesh is the district’s commercial center. Local government offices and the district hospital are located in Katesh.
